Run 3 Complete Tunnel & Character Guide: Gravity Rotation Physics, Skater Trajectories, and Infinite Mode Strategy

Master 3D tunnel gravity rotation, character ability tiers (Runner, Skater, Student), tile disintegration physics, and Infinite Mode in Run 3.

Run 3 (created by Joseph Cloutier) is an iconic Flash-era platformer beautifully preserved for modern web browsers. Running through a cylindrical 3D space tunnel, players can leap against side walls, rotating the gravitational plane of the entire universe.

1. Gravity Rotation Physics

Whenever your avatar makes contact with a left or right tunnel wall, the tunnel rotates 90 degrees, turning that wall into the new floor.

[Floor] ──► Jump Left ──► Touches Left Wall ──► Entire Tunnel Rotates 90°
  • Skipping Obstacles via Walls: If the floor ahead is riddled with missing tiles, run up the side wall. Rotations allow you to bypass massive gaps without making high-risk linear jumps.
  • Crumbly Gray Tiles: Dark gray tiles crumble and detach 0.2 seconds after being touched. Never hesitate on gray tiles; sprint continuously without stopping.

2. Character Tiers & Playstyles

CharacterSpeedJump HeightSpecial Trait & Role
RunnerMediumMediumBalanced baseline; easy aerial air control.
SkaterFastLowHigh linear velocity; struggles with tight turns; ideal for speedruns.
StudentSlowFloatyFlips gravity vertically; excellent for crossing bottomless voids.
LizardFastHighImmense leap power; easily overshoots small landing pads.
PastafarianSlowHighConstructs a light bridge beneath her feet over short gaps.
